Online & Offline Learning Management System for CCE

In order to standardize and maintain uniformity in the implementation of CCE, the Board has identified/empanelled agencies that will provide Online (and offline) Learning Management System (LMS) to the affiliated schools.

Given below is the list of agencies identified/empanelled by the Board. Schools can choose any agency for the Online (and offline) LMS. The details of the rates quoted are also mentioned class wise per 100 students per class for online/offline training. The schools can visit the respective sites of the agencies through the link provided.

Agency at Sr. No. 1 will be charging only half of the cost meant for classes IX-X. Few more agencies will be empanelled and the details will be circulated subsequently.

  •  The rates above will be adjusted on pro rata basis, depending on the number of students in the school. E.g. For total 150 students of classes IX-X for an India based school the price will be 150/200 XRs. 20,000 = Rs 15,000 for online mode.
  •  The online mode system will be made available free of cost to CBSE affiliated government and government-aided schools. The government and government-aided schools need to contact their respective Organization Heads to get the logins and passwords for the school.
  •  The initial creation of student user id and passwords at the beginning of every year will be done by the vendor. Thereafter the school itself will create/update/delete students.

A brief description of the Learning Management System is as follows:

  1. A.      Objective: To provide comprehensive Online (web based) and Offline (pen drive) modes of Learning Management System for CCE for both CBSE as well CBSE-i
  2. B.       Subjects : English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and later on Hindi
  3. C.       Standard : Classes I - X
  4. D.      Course design : Term wise
  5. E.       Assessment Areas : Scholastic and Co -Scholastic
  6. F.        Assessment Types: Formative and Summative Assessments. A question bank of about 10,000 questions for each of classes I to X. Auto generation of QP based on question bank.
    1. Formative Assessment: class and home assignments, fill in the blanks, MCQs, true and false, assertion-reason type questions, quiz, projects/practicals, suggested activities, crossword puzzles, life skills and formative teachers' manual.
    2.  Summative Assessment: previous years' papers, NCERT exemplar problems, HOTS and important questions. selection criteria: MCQs, subjective, chapter wise, mark wise and year wise.
    3. G.      Diagnostic Assessments: adaptive assessment, proficiency test, Problem Solving Assessment (PSA), CBSE-i Performance Analysis Test (PAT), my paper, practice papers and aptitude test.
      1. Adaptive Assessment : On the basis of easy, average and difficul level of Questions. If the student answers 80% of easy questions then s/he is taken to the average level, if the student answers 80% of average questions then s/he is taken to difficult level.
      2.  Proficiency Test: Based on CBSE Proficiency Test/PSA guidelines
      3.  My Paper: Ability to design schools own question paper based on CBSE question paper design and structure by teachers.
      4.  Practice Papers: Software will generate any number of practice papers on the basis of CBSE question paper design. May be created by the student themselves.
      5.  Aptitude Test : Based on CBSE SGAI guidelines
      6.  Online and Offline Online FA and SA tests all MCQ based. Offline can have all types of questions.
      7.  Sample SA-2 Board Exam paper generation:

  1. H.      Teachers Corner: Detailed guidelines based on innovative pedagogies
  2.  Feedback Corner: Continuous online feedback mechanism J. Digital Content Design:
    1.  Detailed e-content
    2.  Interactive 2D and 3D animations. About 3000 animations per class for classes IX and X. About 1500 per class for classes I - VIII. Average time of animation is 3 minutes however it can vary between 1 - 10 minutes.
    3. Live lectures : 80 hours for classes IX and X. About 40 hours per class for classes VI - VIII.
    4. Laboratory activities: 6 + hours for classes IX and X. About 3 hours per class                   for

classes VI - VIII.(based on virtual labs and simulation)

  1. The content will be continuously reviewed and revised/updated as required K. Part-II and III Co-Scholastic Areas/Activities:

a. Activities to acquire skills related to:

  1.  Life Skills
  2.  Work Education
    1.  Visual and Performing Arts
    2.  Attitudes and Values towards teachers, school-mates, school programmes and environment.
    3.  Value Systems based on Constitution of India
      1.  Literary and Creative Skills (Literary clubs)
      2.  Scientific Skills
      3.  ICT Skills
        1.  Organizational and Leadership Skills (Eco-clubs, Health and wellness clubs, Disaster management clubs, Integrity clubs, Heritage clubs)
        2.  Health and Physical Education

(Note: Marks to be captured in Grade Book for offline and online exams. The system should be able to export the Grade book for uploading on CBSE CCE grade system)

L. School Administrator Credentials: Every school should be given credentials which have the rights to create/update/delete students.

M. Academic Tools/Assistance:

  1. Grade book: For software assessments the system should be able to automatically enter data into the Grade Book
    1.  CCE Grade book: Should be capable of both automatic and manual CCE data entry. It should be possible to edit. This should be exportable into the format required by CBSE CCE data collection system
    2.  Syllabus Meter: Showing the % of content browsed by the child
    3.  Calculator: Basic and scientific
    4.  Convertor: Between different measures and scales
    5.  Chapter wise summary
    6.  Glossary ( Chapter wise/Term wise)
    7.  Navigation ( Chapter wise/Term wise)
    8.  Highlighter: To enable the individual student to highlight the text. j. Offline query: To service provider academic and technical teams k. Notes manager: To write notes
    9. Query session: With the vendors academic experts. The answers may be given within 72 hours or less m. Examination tips

N. Mobile enabled: The systems above will be mobile enabled (at a minimum for Android mobile phones and other mobile operating systems if possible)

O. Support service for online portal ( online web assistance , telecom support )
