CBSE Invites applications for an International Art Show in Argentina


1st International Art Show Theme Mundiarte in Your Shoes’ in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Central Board of Education (CBSE) tries to assist the schools and the students in their pursuit of excellence in the field of their choice. It also tries to create awareness pertaining to opportunities that can help them to get global exposure – an endeavor to create a diverse and globally engaged student body. The students should get opportunities and acquire confidence and skills to fit comfortably at the very top of the world’s talent pool. One such opportunity is participation in the 1st International Art Show with the theme ‘Mundiarte in Your Shoes ‘.

MUNDIARTE, the International Museum of Children’s and Youth’s Art situated in Avellaneda (Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) is inviting children and young people (6-17 years old) to participate in the 1st International Exhibition of Theme Art that will be held in October 2012. The last day of submitting the work is 1 September 2012. The exhibition seeks to stimulate and disseminate children’s expression and creativity while aiming to allow participants exchange their experiences through art.

This time the theme chosen by the staff of the Museum is “THE SHOE”.

The “shoe” is an issue, a topic … that can be translated in many different ways to appeal to the imagination. The shoe is not just an object, but has innumerable meanings. It can be a belonging that one has or that one lacks. One can be barefoot and another can have innumerable pairs to match with style. It may be the footprint on the earth when one walks or may be the sound it makes when one runs or jumps. It may be depicted in a photo, a drawing, a painting, a sculpture, a story or translated into music and melody.

The exhibition fosters and disseminates child’s creativity and expression, aimed at sharing experiences of children and youth from 6-17 years old, thus allowing to appreciate and understand through their works, the various realities and dreams.

You are requested to motivate the students to send their entries in this international forum. The entries should be shipped to the following address:

The period for receipt of entries close on September 1, 2012. The submission can be done through educational institutions, in groups or individually. In all cases the shipping costs will be borne by the participants.
