CBSE CAER

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will set up a centre for assessment, evaluation and research on public private partnership (PPP) model.

The Board will tie up with internationally reputed not-for-profit organisations to be partners in the establishment of the centre.

The decision is taken up as part of the Board’s move to create and provide assessment, educational resources and teacher training in order to empower teachers and to create a conducive teaching environment that provides international standard quality education to the students. The new centre will develop international capabilities and resources for its schools and teachers. It will establish best practices in school-based assessment, entrance examinations, conduct research into policies and programmes that can improve teaching quality and strengthen student learning.

These policies or programmes might include adapting, developing assessments and related resources, defining assessment frameworks, professional learning, teacher evaluation, professional recruitment among others.

The CAER might seek financial grants and funds from international bodies and agencies.
