The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date of online applications for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main to be conducted across India in the second week of April, 2015. Students aspiring for admission to IITs, NITs and other centrally-funded technical institutions can now fill online forms and submit the same till December 26, 2014 (11:59 PM). Earlier, the last date was December 18.
The CBSE has updated about the same on its official website jeemain.nic.in.
The fee may be paid by the candidates through credit/debit card up to 27.12.2014 (11.59 PM) & through e-challan up to 27.12.2014 (up to working hours of the banks). The other terms and conditions for filling up the application form will remain same.
The board decided to extend the date of form submission keeping in view large number of applications received from the students and requests from various candidates/parents as well as schools. The Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE (Main) website from March 1, 2015 onwards.
It will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by IITs.
