It is to be recalled that on April about 73,194 aspirants took the Joint Entrance Exam-2010 (JEE) in the Kanpur zone. A total of 160 centres were made in the three states viz UP, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh falling under the IIT-Kanpur zone. The aspirants who had put in their best to crack the IIT entrance exam will be looking forward to fulfil their dream of graduating from the coveted IIT`s.

The JEE exam was objective in nature and the students had to solve the Maths, Physics and Chemistry questions in a stipulated time period. The students had to jot down their answers in the OMR sheets that were provided to them. The JEE was held in two phases and kept the students entangled till the end.

The industrial city had to its kitty 35 such centres as against 28 centres that had been raised last year. This is due to the fact that this year fairly a large number of students participated in the IIT-JEE entrance exam.

Interestingly, a total of 4,92,000 students from the various states participated in the JEE entrance exam this year. Last year this number stood to be around 3,85,000.  TOI
