NSIT Admissions 2010

Delhi University’s Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) will admit students to its six engineering programmes on the basis of their ranks in AIEEE from this year. Of the total 534 on offer, 85% will be reserved for students residing in Delhi.

Till last year, NSIT and Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) admitted students through a common entrance examination. But since DCE has been converted into a state university (DTU) and NSIT is the only engineering college under DU’s faculty of technology now, it has decided to conduct the admission process on its own.

‘‘Students, who sat for AIEEE this year, can download the application form from www.nsit.nic.in and submit it with a demand draft of Rs 1,000 as the counselling fee at any branch of Andhra Bank by June 17. The counselling will start thereafter,’’ said Dr Vijayant Aggarwal, public relations officer, NSIT.

The registration and filling of choices for the course will start from June 19 to 28.
